rain day

rainy days are secretly a favorite of mine. it's an excuse to be a little lazy and cozy up in the house. perhaps pop a favorite flick in, or head to the theaters for a new show. oversized sweaters and comfy blankets. it doesn't hurt that i got to work from home today and that the husband doesn't' have school. yay for friday and for the rain. the smell of the rain, as i've said before is my absolute favorite.

its friday its friday and a friday's a happy day. la de da de da de da de da.

that is the tune i'm singing today even though today is a little gloomy.  the husband man took his big chemistry final today which means i get fifty percent of him back, the other fifty comes back on tuesday. he is a smartie pants and is acing his test, which i'm not the least bit surprised.

last night we left the windows open to listen to the rain and it just smelled like summer. warm thunderstorms may be one of my favorite things. when i was growing up my little sister and i would take blankets and sit on our front porch and watch the thunderstorms, for hours.

and today  i get to see a favorite friend of mine, who is preggers and i can't wait to see her baby bump. and we may just go see the lucky one, again but i'll take a little zac efron any day. other plans include some cousin time, a wedding, probably the parkp, and celebrating because it's the weekend.

why do some weeks seem to drag on and on and on and on? 

for me, this week was on of those weekends.

this is the longest we've ever been apart.

how happy the pandora app is making me as of late. best invention, ever.

an orchid that keeps spring apparent in my mind all day long, even when spring decides its time to snow. 

crazy utah weather. 

these classes that are kicking my derriere in shape, literally.

that we are the boss of ourselves, and that we really can do whatever we put our mind to.

so do it!

that babies are created inside bodies like mine, it really amazes me.

but don't you fret, i am not preggers.

happy friday! over here we are recovering from the hunger games midnight madness. it was just about everything i could've asked for. i for one love seeing a book be created into a movie and comparing my imagination with others perception. off to see it again soon I hope.

on our way to explore the opening of city creek mall, ive been warned it is amaze. then to watch my cute husband play "coach cook" for his soccer team. im also celebrating by wearing my tangerine skinnies. but regardless of what we do, its bound to be happy because it's friday. enjoy your weekend. xo

oh and this also means we leave in seven days for our cruise.

p.s. husband's leg has lost five inches in diameter since surgery. 

he is skinny minny over here, feel free to bring over sympathy treats. 

he also is a rockstar and surprised me with a fancy gift last night just for fun.

i'm kissing this week goodbye! 

it was fabulous, but oh so long. 

can't wait for a loooooong weekend. 

i'm going back to the days of a babe where life consisted of eating, sleeping, and playing. 

perhaps some story time, and some nice warm bath time. why do those days ever end? 

oh yes we grow up i forgot. 

husband is letting me pick what we do this weekend. he's in for a real treat. sounds oh so lovely.

it's finally the weekend. this week was one of those weeks that just seems to feel like an eternity. it was busy and tiresome yet productive and effective. no complaints there.

this morning husband and i talked about our weekend plans. you see he left for school when the sun was still sleeping, in the 6:00 hour. i die. when he came home he was a different person, i told you there was a weekend version of that man. making the long week all the more worth it. husband took a killer chemistry text this morning, one that has been taking up 99.98% of his sweet little time. so now it's my turn, boo yah chemistry you can have him back on monday but for now stay out of it. please and thank you.

as for the weekend plans, we are blessed to have the greatest friends, seriously, and we love our new ones a lot. i'd be confident to bet we have the coolest friends on the planet. weekend plans feel dreamy and we are going to play to our little hearts content. basketball game, super bowl party, cooking fabulous dinner, games, the list goes on. i'm promising great photos for monday, get excited.

last night sister club and i were lucky enough to go to the opening of the first h&m in utah. 

we had lots of fun together (surprised?).
especially after i snuck her in.

yesterday was a great day. the little brothers (sam and jason) won their football game.

next week they will be competing for the state championship.

sorry for the lack of posts we went on a lovely get a way to beloved lake powell and just returned.

a little sad it was the last trip down there of the year.

we celebrated an extra week of summer with warm weather and summer fun.

and loved it.

lot's to catch up on but that will be for later.

we are going to another one of these this weekend and a pumpkin patch to find our jack's.

no complaints we love spooking ourselves during this month.

(in fact i'm antsy to go to the new 666 hh tonight. it's all the rave we''ll let you know our reviews.)

speaking of this month:

we've had lots and lots of pumpkin food, candy corns, pumpkins, and halloween eves.

this may be our most festive year yet!
